Grants Offered

The City of Columbia provides Accommodations and Hospitality Tax Grants to eligible non-profit organizations for projects and events that promote tourism. To check your eligibility, find available dates, and review the grant guidelines, please refer to the links for each specific grant offered. Community Promotions Grants are available only when funding permits.

Accommodations Tax Grant

Applicants seeking funding for FY 26/27: (July 1, 2026 – June 30, 2027) The Grant application cycle will begin in March 2, 2026. Completed applications must be submitted or delivered by Friday, April 10, 2026. Late/incomplete applications will not be considered. Applications received on time and deemed eligible will be considered for grant awards.

Community Promotions Grant:

General Fund dollars, through this grant, provide financial support to non-profit or charitable organizations located within the City of Columbia, as funding becomes available. Applications for Community Promotions Grants will be available once funds (if any) are allocated after fiscal year-end.

There is no funding available for Community Promotions Grants at this time. Once funding is available, a Notice of Funds Availability (NOFA), will be posted here on the City’s website. The process for applying for a grant will be outlined in the NOFA.
